HSV1. What are the chances to have a false positive? Is it genital or both since I had kissing as well?

I have been diagnosed IGg positive with HSV1 strain through a blood test. I didn't have any symptom at that time in genital or oral area. With one month before I noticed a few red dots on my penis like small pimples. I had someone performing oral sex on me. My question is, what are the chances to have a false positive? No outbreaks since then just an itching rash which didn't last.. And how can I know what is the site of infection since no symptoms. Is it genital or both since I had kissing as well? Thank you.

I have been in the same relationship of 10 years, I had an outbreak (which I how I discover I had it), my gf has not had an outbreak. We have not had sex in two months and she has no symptons? Is it possible that I did not transmit it too her?

I've only been positive for HSV2 for less than a year. Had two outbreaks. I was taking acyclovir twice a day to decrease shedding so as not to pass it on to a partner. We've subsequently have broken up z(over me being positive). I don't like having to take another med each day. What will happen if I quit taking the daily doses? If I start dating again, should I start taking it right away if we as a couple decide to be intimate?

So Chickenpox?I had this around 5 or 6 and 27 years later I find out that I have HSV1? I was dumbfounded. Doc says it's Dormant what does this mean? I am so sad now.
