why would someone with only HSV1 want to date someone from this website? This virus is only an oral virus whereas Simplex !! is genital. Much different. Thanks!

    Both HSV I and HSV II come from the Herpes Simplex Virus. It's the same virus. There is just more cultural stigma attached to those who are diagnosed with HSV2 (more often found on the genitals). A "fever blister" on the lips is not viewed as a big deal in our culture. That same virus on the genitals is perceived quite differently in our culture.
